Bio-Identical Pellets

BetterYou only uses bio-identical hormone pellets. These pellets are designed to mimic your body's natural hormone production. Each pellet is placed beneath the skin so hormones are available to the body whenever it needs them. Pellets generally last three to six months depending on the patient. Each patient is individually dosed based on their blood work to insure safe and consistent hormone levels.

What are Bio-Identical Pellets made from?

Bio-Identical pellets are made from soy. Hormones are extracted from these plants and chemically changed in a laboratory to become biologically identical to your natural hormones. The end result is a pellet that is 100% Testosterone or Estrogen

Where does BetterYou get their pellets?

BetterYou's pellets are made by Wells Pharmacy located in Dyersburg, TN. Wells is a compounding pharmacy that is part of a larger network of compounding pharmacies. They operate under strict guidelines and have every batch of pellets third party tested to insure sterility, and quality. BetterYou is proud to say we use Wells' pellets in our procedures.

Are there other options for hormone replacement?

Although BetterYou only provides pellet therapy, this is not the only option for hormone replacement. In addition to pellets, there are creams, gels, pills, patches, and injections. At your first consult, our providers will talk to you about the risks and benefits of each type of HRT and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
